Scale

Ingredients

  • 3 sticks of unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 3 cups of dark brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract
  • 2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups of white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of dried cherries

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Butter a 9×13 inch pan, line it with parchment and then butter and flour the bottom and sides of the pan.

Measure out all of your ingredients. Mix together the dry ingredients in a small bowl and the white chocolate and cherries in another bowl.

In a large bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar until light and creamy. Add one egg at a time and follow with the almond extract.

Add the dry ingredients to the sugar and butter slowly, scraping down the sides of the bowl after each addition.

Stir in the dried cherries and white chocolate chips.

Spread the batter into the prepared pan and place in the oven to bake for 30 – 35 minutes.

Let the bars cool completely before cutting the bars into small squares. Enjoy!
